Engineering Manager- Electrical

To be responsible for delivering an Estates site service whichcomplies with NHS guidelines, Health Technical Memorandum,Health Building Notes and all mandatory and statutoryrequirements.

Main duties of the job

Lead and manage Estates Engineering services, plant, buildings and staff to ensure safe, compliant and cost-effective Trust operations. Act as Authorised Person (AP) for relevant HTM/HSE systems, maintaining full statutory and regulatory compliance, and provide senior operational cover for Building and Engineering Manager roles, including emergency and on‑call response.

Manage all planned, statutory and reactive maintenance, ensuring in‑house teams and contractors meet required standards, specifications and timescales. Lead capital works and minor projects from design input and tendering through to contractor supervision, delivery and quality assurance. Oversee contractor control, permits to work and all H&S compliance.
