Early Childhood Assistant (PT Contract Floater-Wellesley)

Position Summary

We are looking for an Early Childhood Assistant to join our Wellesley Early Learning Centre team on an 18‑month contract. The assistant will work under the guidance of a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to support the curriculum, maintain a safe and nurturing environment, and assist with everyday classroom tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in a safe and healthy environment.
• Update attendance and conduct headcounts during transitions.
• Assist the RECE in preparing and setting up program activities.
• Record brief observations on individual child behaviours to support developmental tracking.
• Welcome families and maintain positive professional relationships with parents, families, peers and visitors.
