Drill Bit Repair Technician

Bit repair technician reports to the Operations Manager/Supervisor and performs grinding, blast cleaning, brazing, welding, hardfacing, and assembly of drill bits & DLR to a high standard. Other duties include moving bits as required.

• Adhere to contractual obligations such as timekeeping.
• Assemble components to engineering drawings and set procedures.
• Apply various torch brazing and hardfacing processes.
• Operate oxy/acetylene and propane equipment, performing necessary checks.
• Use handheld grinding tools.
• Weld (TIG) and use gas torches for hardfacing and brazing jobs.
• Inspect parts as specified and report non‑conformances, using standard measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Maintain high professionalism and customer care.
