Dog Daycare Assistant

The Animal Retreat is a dog daycare and hotel located along Guillemard Road. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for passionate dog lovers to join our team as Dog Daycare Handlers!

• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all dogs
• Handle general housekeeping duties, including cleaning up after dogs
• Observe and understand each dog’s personality, behaviour, and play style
• Supervise group play sessions and engage dogs with enrichment activities such as puzzles and games
• Walk dogs daily and ensure they receive adequate exercise
• Prepare and serve meals according to feeding schedules
• Communicate with pet owners and provide updates on their dogs
• Capture photos and videos for daily updates to owners
• Assist with grooming tasks such as showering dogs
• Support special activities including monthly outings and swimming sessions
