QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid K-5 Michigan Teaching Certificate

  • Demonstrated excellence in explicit instruction and student engagement in an elementary classroom

  • Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

  • Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills

  • Ability to utilize technology for teaching and learning

  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn the following:

  • Common Core State Standards
    Curricular unit and lesson design to include the Understanding by Design model
    Tiered intervention programs and differentiated instruction
    NWEA
    Evidence-based literacy and math practices
    Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
