Diet Technician

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Clinical Dietitians, the incumbent is responsible for the provision and promotion of optimal nutritional care to patients through the following responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care
• Computer Database
• Nutrition Screening
• Education
• Nutrient Analysis

Qualifications and Skills

• Two years’ experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in direct patient care, nutrition screening, diet modifications, and patient education preferred.
• Successful completion of a recognized Dietetic Technician program (or equivalent, e.g., Bachelor of Science degree, Human Nutritional Sciences) required.
• Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is recommended.
• Preference will be given to applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledgeable about Indigenous customs, traditions and values. ...
