Job Details

  • Prepares specimens for analysis.
  • Establishes and implements a system for receipt, identification, and control of specimens. 
  • Selects, performs, monitors, and evaluates cytochemical procedures for assessing cellular constituents.
  • Examines microscopically stained smears for evidence of malignancy or abnormalities, marking suspicious cells on slides for evaluation by the pathologist. 
  • Prepares reagents according to prescribed direction; maintains reagent log and control system.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education
  • CT (ASCP) Certification or obtain certification within six months of hire date
