Counsellor

The Counsellor provides direct and indirect counselling services to students across academic, social-emotional and personal domains. The Counsellor will work as part of a team to provide support and guidance for students to improve student learning and well-being and will play a lead role in developing school wide policy and programs to improve student welfare.

KEY RESULTS AREAS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

• Provide counselling and support to students, individuals and small groups.
• Liaise and consult with parents.
• Liaise and coordinate with outside health professionals.
• Assist in the identification of students in need of individualised learning plans.
• Provide assistance to teachers to present classroom-based programs for social, emotional health and values education.
