About the Role
The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement, Legal Services Branch of the Civil Law Division, Ministry of the Attorney General, has an immediate opening for one (1) senior counsel.
About the job
Reporting to the Deputy Legal Director, your duties will include the following responsibilities:
- Assisting Ministry staff, including the Director of Land Registration, the Director of Titles and the Examiner of Surveys, in dealing with legal issues related to the administration of land registration statutes
- Conducting hearings and writing and issuing decisions under the Land Titles Act and other land registration statutes
- Providing written and oral legal opinions to senior officials
- Preparing regulations and other legal documents
- Participating in the Ministry's policy and legislative development processes in respect of land registration and related issues
