General Statement of Job

Under limited supervision, assists in providing leadership in developing, supporting and ensuring the provision of free and appropriate public education for special needs students in all District schools. Leads the districts efforts to develop, select, and ensure an appropriate use of specialized instruction. Develops procedures for program and provides instructional support to special services consultants, administrators, teachers, and other staff. Supervises assigned professional and clerical personnel; reviews subordinates' adherence to District goals and policies. Reports to the Director of Special Services.
 
 
Minimum Requirements
Requires Master's degree in special education or school administration supplemented by six to nine years of teaching, consulting and/or managing special education programs, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilit...
