**Job Description**
This role prepares, cooks, portions, and presents a wide variety of hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. You will cook to order, often within short preparation times, while consistently delivering high-quality food and attentive service to guests, customers, and patient families.
**Responsibilities**
+ Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events.
+ Prepare food to order, including items that require short preparation times, in a manner similar to a short-order cook.
+ Operate an a la carte service area and grill station, as needed, to prepare and serve customer orders.
+ Read food orders or receive verbal instructions and prepare and cook food according to those directions.
