Consultant Maternal & Fetal Medicine

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive maternal and fetal medicine consultations and care for high-risk pregnancies
• Perform advanced diagnostic procedures, including detailed fetal ultrasounds and invasive testing such as amniocentesis and CVS
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and geneticists to develop personalized management plans
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options
• Contribute to clinical governance, research, and service development
• Mentor and support junior medical staff and trainees

Requirements

• Medical degree with Board certification in Maternal & Fetal Medicine
• Proficiency in advanced fetal imaging techniques and prenatal diagnostic procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information empathetically
