Computer Aided Design Engineer

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer for an Electrical CAD Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This role involves designing low-voltage power distribution and control system drawings from concept through to manufacture, providing support to production teams and customers.

Job Details

• Salary: Up to £35,000 (depending on experience)
• Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings using AutoCAD.
• Interpret customer specifications and technical documentation to create accurate engineering drawings.
• Develop manufacturing drawing packs, including bills of materials (BOMs) and parts lists.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve processes and create standard operating procedures.
• Support design improvements and ensure drawings meet current industry standards.
