Commis Chef

I work as a Commis Chef in a professional kitchen, assisting senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes while ensuring smooth kitchen operations and strict adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in basic food preparation and mise en place under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Support Chef de Partie and Demi Chef in daily kitchen tasks.
  • Prepare ingredients such as chopping, peeling, marinating, and portioning.
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to food hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP).
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating kitchen stock.
  • Support smooth and efficient service during busy operations.
