Summary This vacancy is for a GS-1801-14, Commercial Vessel Safety Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, FORCECOM ASSESSMENT DIVISION in NORFOLK, Virginia. Responsibilities You will serve as a Commercial Vessel Safety Specialist and be responsible for the current and future readiness posture under the Deputy Command for Mission Support. The incumbent serves as the senior management systems specialist for Mission Management System (MMS) and is responsible for marine safety program process analysis, measurement, audits, and improvements, and tracking outputs and outcomes. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
