Co-op Coordinator

Position Summary

BCIT’s Centre for Workplace Education is looking for a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) Co-operative Education (Co-op) Coordinator to coordinate the full-cycle recruitment and delivery of co-op student programsand student work terms in relevant industry positions, evaluate co-op and work-integrated learning (WIL) outcomes, and support the ongoing academic development of co-op education programs. Duties & Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Educating students in career planning through teaching pre-employment within BCIT course programming.

Providing career counselling and guiding students’ reflection of on the job learning to support career development and exploration

Evaluating student work experiences in co-op courses

Ensuring relevancy and quality of work terms through site visit check ins with students and employers
