**Job Description**
This role focuses on operating and setting up CNC equipment in a dedicated CNC shop, producing high-quality machined components in a steel manufacturing environment. The CNC machinist programs, sets up, and runs mills, lathes, machining centers, and drilling centers to meet precise blueprint specifications while maintaining strong safety and quality standards on a consistent 3rd-shift schedule.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up CNC machines, including mills, lathes, machining centers, and drilling centers, according to blueprint specifications and job requirements.
+ Edit and manipulate CNC programs directly at the machine to run new jobs and parts as needed.
+ Change out and adjust tooling to meet specific fabrication and production requirements.
+ Load and unload raw materials and finished goods using hoists, jib cranes, and overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner.
