About the Role

Looking for CNC Turner is a skilled machinist responsible for operating, setting up, and programming Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathes to craft precision metal or plastic components. They translate technical blueprints into machine commands, load raw materials, manage cutting tools, and perform rigorous quality control checks. Core Responsibilities Programming & Set-up: Interpret engineering drawings and CAD/CAM models to determine machining parameters (speeds, feeds, and offsets). Set up tooling and secure raw materials into the lathe chuck. Machine Operation: Run CNC turning centers (often utilizing Fanuc controls) to perform operations like boring, drilling, and threading. Quality Assurance: Measure dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet exact tolerances. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine machine maintenance, report mechanical issues, and replace worn tools or inserts to maintain production efficiency.
