Cloud Engineer

A growing software business in Reading is hiring a Cloud Engineer to help build out and scale its cloud infrastructure.

This is a hands‑on role with real ownership, working closely with the Engineering Lead on both architecture and day‑to‑day delivery. You'll play a key part in building a modern Kubernetes platform, migrating environments across, and running it day to day.

What you'll be doing

• Build and scale a modern Kubernetes platform
• Design and write Terraform to deploy cloud infrastructure cleanly and repeatably
• Migrate existing environments onto the platform
• Own and operate clusters across multiple environments
• Build out backup, snapshot and recovery processes
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Set up monitoring, alerting and observability
• Take ownership of reliability and uptime as the platform grows
