About the Role
We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Fellow to join a multidisciplinary team investigating the metabolic adaptation of Aspergillus fumigatus during human infection and its impact on innate and adaptive immune responses.
This project combines high-throughput fungal phenotyping, metabolomics, and advanced immunological assays using ex vivo human models. The post offers an exceptional opportunity to work at the interface of fungal biology, immunology, and systems-level data analysis, contributing to a programme aimed at identifying mechanisms that underpin fungal survival and immune evasion in the lung.
What you would be doing
- Support laboratory-based experiments investigating genomic-phenotypic correlates in fumigatus clinical and environmental isolates.
- Conduct high-dimensional immunophenotyping and fungal infection assays using human whole blood and primary alveolar macrophages.
