Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job Summary

Interventional Radiology Theatres are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Nurse, preferably with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience, to join the team as a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist. The role is based at the SJUH site and involves coordinating care for patients across a range of specialties, including Hepatobiliary, Renal, Hepatology, and Respiratory services. As a key point of contact for patients and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide a comprehensive, wrap‑around model of care, ensuring patients are fully informed about their upcoming procedures and supporting them through pre‑procedure assessment, optimisation, care, and procedural planning.

Main duties of the role

• Manage a defined caseload of patients undergoing elective and acute interventional radiology procedures.
• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care, setting the standards for quality and safety.
