About the Role

Job Summary:

We are looking to recruit a Cleaner at Kirkwall Church. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the building is clean, neat & tidy, and ready for use while always maintaining a safe working environment. You will be a keyholder. Self-motivation, good time keeping, reliability, honesty and integrity are essential as lone working is involved in this post.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning of halls, offices, rooms, and entrance.
  • Cleaning toilets, sinks and washing toilet floors.
  • Cleaning kitchen areas.
  • Ensuring that the external entrance is free from litter.
  • Ensuring toilet supplies are replenished regularly and informing the Corps Officers of cleaning supplies needs in a timely manner

    • The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Ability to work alone and use initiative
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
