About the Role
Role Overview
As a property and casualty insurance claims advisor, you help serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients for all claims. You handle high‑complexity property insurance claims and medium‑complexity accident benefit and bodily injury claims. You investigate and approve claims, solve problems using your analytical skills, and draw on your sound decision‑making to develop solutions, negotiate settlements, and enter agreements with members, clients, third parties, and others.
Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs and market value, and produce and review reports and other documents to determine settlement amounts.
- Analyze medical, financial and job information and determine eligibility for benefits based on statutory criteria.
- Settle claims in accordance with the organization’s standards, policies and quality commitments as well as contract terms.
