Citrus production manager

A promising career opportunity exists for a suitable young and energetic citrus production manager within the Porterville region. The position will take full responsibility for the 160 hectare production unit of citrus fruit.

This person will report directly to the head farm manager. The successful candidate will oversee all orchard management.

Responsibilities and Duties Coordinate the activities of various production functions to ensure the operations run efficiently and effectively; Delegate tasks, coach, support production employees and motivate teamwork towards achieving set targets; Organise resource allocation to ensure horticultural best practices implemented on time and on standard; Measure and monitor productivity and quality and propose solutions to facilitate continuous improvement; Policy and procedure execution e.g. health and safety, SIZA and integrated crop management; Financial and administrative support.
