About the Role

            Job Scope  Core Responsibilities  Report to the Master and lead the Engine Department. 
Responsible for safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and management of all onboard machinery and technical systems. 
Delegate engine room watches at sea and in port. 
Manage boilers, propulsion units, cargo handling equipment, and all onboard machinery and electrical systems. 
Oversee the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) in line with Company guidelines. 
Maintain accurate engineering records and report regularly to Fleet Management Department (FMD). 
Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of machinery spaces and storage compartments. 
Monitor and manage inventory of fuel, lubricants, engine stores, and water. 
Maintain Oil Record Book Part I per Safety Management System procedures. 
Keep Master informed of machinery issues affecting seaworthiness.
