Chief Accountant

Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operation, reporting, compliance, and assisting the financial controller to ensure the hotel financial strategy is implemented in accordance with the hotel’s policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• To supervise daily accounting operations, controls, mentoring staff, ensuring teamwork and an efficient and effective operation.
• To verify daily bank balances through review of credit card reconciliation for Director of Finance approval.
• To verify the accuracy of the General Cashier report and that revenue is daily deposited into the bank by the General Cashier.
• To perform month‑end accounts reconciliation of all general ledger balances before issuing monthly financial statements. Report any gaps or variance to the Director of Finance.
