Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)-Float

Job Summary

Under general supervision, floats to all in-patient areas and Emergency Department according to scope of practice according to the DH floating guidelines. First to float to a different unit as the staffing needs of the hospital change. Assists professional nursing and care providers in providing care to all patients with respect for their uniqueness. Collaborates with the RN and healthcare team. Assists with basic patient care and activities of daily living. Maintains unit specific documentation as required. Orders, maintains and utilizes supplies for the assigned unit.
*Required to fulfill weekend/holiday and hard to staff days commitment per departmental policy. Schedules will be posted in advance, but unit assignments will be given on a day-to-day basis.
