Cardiovascular Technician (Echo cardiographer)

Responsibilities

• Perform Imaging Tests (EchoCardiograms) and Non‑imaging cardiovascular evaluations, which may include Exercise tolerance tests, Stress tests, Holter monitoring, Event recorders, 24‑hr Ambulatory BP Monitoring, Electrocardiograms at a Technical level, and assisting in Performing Transesophageal echocardiography.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures to patients, address patients’ concerns, and follow established pre‑screening policy and procedure.
• Determine appropriate methodology and techniques, arrange immobilization or support devices for proper patient positioning, and select appropriate imaging device.
• Prepare patients for echocardiography procedures, position patients appropriately for prescribed procedures, and assist patients at completion of procedure.
