About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities
In partnership with the Assistant Director of Campus Ministry and the Rector of Madonna della Strada Chapel, cultivate a joyful, inclusive, and prayerful worship life at Loyola University Chicago.
Recruit, train, and develop student leadership in liturgical music including choirs, instrumentalists, and cantors.
Provide musical leadership for the weekly liturgical life of the university such as Sunday Mass and Taizé Prayer.
Provide musical leadership for all special and unique liturgies and celebrations.
Coordinate all music planning for weddings (additional stipend provided for playing at wedding liturgies).
A team-player with the wider sacramental life staff in the day-to-day operation of the chapel and in pastoral presence to students.
Attend and participate in Division of Mission Integration, Campus Ministry, and Sacramental Life events and meetings.
