General Statement of Job

Under occasional supervision, oversees and performs carpentry functions in District schools, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, specifications, schedules and standards. Supervises assigned crew members; reviews work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy. Reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance Services or Director of Maintenance Services.
 
 
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

Supervises the duties of assigned carpenters and tradesworkers. Supervisory duties include assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; allocating personnel; selecting new employees; acting on employee problems; and recommending employee discipline as appropriate.

Reviews the work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy and offers advice and assistance as needed.
