Backend Engineer - Policy Issuance Automation

Policy issuance is one of the most important parts of the insurance journey. It involves customer data, document checks, insurer approvals, payment status, follow-ups and final policy delivery.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to automate this flow end to end, so customers receive policies faster and internal teams handle fewer manual steps.

Build backend systems that make policy issuance faster, more accurate and easier to track.

What You’ll Own

• Build backend services for policy issuance workflows.
• Automate customer information requests, insurer follow-ups and status updates.
• Improve data flow between customer, insurer, operations and payment systems.
• Build clear failure handling, retries, logs and exception tracking.
• Debug issuance delays and fix root causes.
• Work with operations, product, QA, frontend and backend teams.
