About the Team

The Recommendation Architecture Team builds and optimizes the architecture for TikTok’s recommendation system to provide the most stable and best experience for our users. It covers short‑text recommendation scenarios such as search suggestions, the video‑related search bar, and comment entities. The system supports personalized sorting for queries, optimizing user experience and improving search awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high‑performance online services for the recommendation system.
• Build extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines for candidate generation, profile generation, training example generation, realtime online training, and more.
• Build a globalized, large‑scale recommendation system.
• Design and develop high‑performance computing frameworks and storage systems.
