Automotive Mechanic (MVO)

Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop at Mountain Home AFB. This is a Regular Full Time position with guaranteed 35 hours per week, however may work up to 40. This position includes benefits: Medical/Dental, Life, 401K, and Retirement. Frequently lifts, handles, and carries equipment weighing up to 40lbs. Occasionally moves moderately heavy items with assistance or with mechanical devices weighing up to or over 50lbs. Responsibilities Provides instruction to patrons, as requested or as deemed appropriate, and on a regular and recurring basis, performs such duties as: troubleshooting; rebuilding and repairing automotive engines, major assemblies, and components. Utilizes test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, compression gauges, exhaust electrical test stands, electrical testers, special feeler and dial gauges, exhaust and analyzers, engine and chassis dynamo-meters.
