About the Role

The Johns Hopkins Department of the History of Medicine of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for tenure-track faculty at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The Department seeks a new colleague in the area of pre-modern medicine, health, and healing before 1800 whose research is innovative and agenda-setting and would extend the scope of the department's research, teaching, and expertise. The successful candidate would also engage closely with our unique Historical Collections which contains more than 30,000 rare books with a substantial focus on printed works from Europe and North America.
