About the Role

Main Job Function

Our client is recruiting an Associate with approximately 2–5 years’ post-admission/post-articles experience, specifically within the field of labour and employment law.

The successful candidate should ideally have:

  • Solid experience in labour and employment law
  • Exposure to CCMA, bargaining council, labour court and disciplinary matters
  • Strong drafting and litigation skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage files responsibly
  • Good client engagement and communication skills; and a strong work ethic and attention to detail

The position will involve a broad range of contentious and advisory employment law work, including disciplinary enquiries, arbitrations, labour court litigation, drafting of employment-related agreements and policies, retrenchment processes, and general employment law advisory services.
