Associate Accountant, Payroll Operations - Temp to Perm

**Position Details**

+ Process employee payroll maintenance transactions, including direct deposit updates, federal and state tax withholding elections (W-4 and state tax forms).
+ Assist with entering, updating, and monitoring wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other involuntary deductions.
+ Complete employment verification requests while ensuring compliance with company policies and privacy requirements.
+ Assist with gathering and validating payroll data for audits, subpoena requests, unemployment claims, and other compliance-related inquiries.
+ Perform data entry and validation to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
+ Support payroll processing activities and special projects assigned.
+ Follow appropriate policies and procedures to ensure that Southland maintains compliance with all state and federal laws as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
