Assistant Teaching Professor - Biology and Biochemistry

The Department of Biology (http://biology.syr.edu/) at Syracuse University invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor to teach Biology and Biochemistry undergraduate level classes, starting in fall 2026. This position is initially a three-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. Syracuse University has a promotion structure for Teaching Professors, with Associate Teaching Professors and Full Teaching professors being eligible for renewable contracts of up to five years. Teaching Professors are full members of the departmental and university community and are eligible to vote on department, college and university decisions excluding tenure-track faculty hiring and promotion and tenure decisions.
