Assistant system controller - Control Room

Responsibilities

• Operate the plant as instructed to ensure electrical power is generated and distributed safely and efficiently in accordance with the daily operational plan, meeting the operational needs of the Smelter Complex and third‑party customers where applicable.
• Monitor Gas Turbines, HRSGs, and Steam Turbines operating parameters to ensure maximum steam generation.
• Control and assist in the collection of accurate and reliable operational data to monitor performance against targets and support accurate invoicing for third‑party customers.
• Perform routine operational calculations related to efficiency and electrical fault levels for review and approval by higher authority.
• Initiate the start‑up and shutdown of various plant equipment in accordance with instructions from the Control Room Engineer System Controller.
