PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembles and disassembles National Oilwell Varco proprietary and other proprietary oilfield equipment. Reads a design drawing and assemble accordingly. Perform Pressure Testing (Hydro, Gas) for Choke assemblies and Functional Testing to actuators as specified by company procedures. Reading and filling traceability documents and testing charts. Torques nut bolts, and cap screws by using torquing instruments and following torquing procedure and requirements. Participates and identify root cause of assembly and testing failures. Removes small quantities of metal with hand files, scrapers, grinders to produce close fit between parts. Records instrument readings as required for test procedures or company requirements.
