Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

The Apprentice Engineer will be trained up to the requirements of a Maintenance Engineer. The Apprentice Engineer will attend college one day a week and complete a Level 3 in Engineering in conjunction with the apprenticeship levy.

Key Job Activities

• Observe and comply with the company safety policy and all safety notices and signs, ensuring all work is carried out safely and properly.
• Work toward being fully conversant with all engineering aspects of the plant.
• Control the planned maintenance system already in place and develop the programme to ensure all maintenance works are carried out and recorded under the guidance of the Plant Manager (site specific).
• Work closely with shift supervisors to avoid conflicts with maintenance works and ensure continued plant operation.
• Inspect, coordinate and maintain plant maintenance documentation in conjunction with the Plant Manager.
