About the Role
Join the AltaSteel team as a Mechanical Engineer focused on enhancing the Steelmaking Maintenance operations. This permanent, full-time role requires strong problem-solving skills in a heavy industrial environment.
In this position, you will directly report to the Manager of Steelmaking Maintenance, spearheading key engineering projects. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, an APEGA registration, and at least 5 years of relevant experience are necessary. You’ll be responsible for enforcing safety standards while promoting a culture of continuous improvement in operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote safety and compliance across engineering functions
• Initiate critical projects aligned with operations needs
• Supervise personnel to meet safety and quality benchmarks
