About the Role
Acton Academy Calgary Central seeks an Elementary Teacher to inspire Kindergarten to Grade 2 students. Lead a multi-age classroom with a focus on learner-driven education and critical self-discovery.
As an Elementary Teacher, you will support young learners in an engaging environment that fosters independence and a love for education. Your role includes preparing curriculum-aligned lessons and utilizing creative methodologies to enhance learning experiences. Collaborate with staff and families to build a nurturing community for every student’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate critical thinking and independence in students
• Design and prepare curriculum-compliant lesson plans
• Uphold a respectful and safe classroom atmosphere
• Engage with families to foster student development
• Implement hands-on, interdisciplinary projects
Requirements:
• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (Interim or Permanent)
