ACCOUNTANT

Summary You will serve as an Accountant in the Special Assistant for Resource Management Directorate, Commander, Naval Information Forces (COMNAVIFOR). Responsibilities You will assist in the execution of an accounting program which includes all matters relating to reports, statistics, accounting, financial systems and disbursing. You will utilize accounting systems employed by COMNAVIFOR to provide accounting data for centrally controlled funds, as well as funds issued to all Domain Activities You will evaluate the effectiveness of DON BPS, internal controls and NAVIFOR administrative processes, the economy and efficiency of operations, and prevent and detect fraud and abuse in such systems. You will use accounting, budget execution and financial management procedures, practices, policies, laws and regulations in conducting performance financial assessments.
