Summary About the Position: Serves as a senior staff Accountant and assistant to the Accounting Officer. Incumbent individually or as a member of the Finance and Accounting team ensures the quality and integrity of the district's financial management program. Responsibilities As an accounting advisor, promotes understanding and effective application of accounting and related financial management policies, procedures and systems promulgated by higher echelons. Devises implementing policies to effect the various aspects of financial management; interprets the accounting policy implications of immediate and long range activities. Responsible for assuring conformity to regulatory guidance for the Civil, Military, and/or Revolving Fund accounting programs and the systems accounting function.
