Preparation for classes or workshops on writing skills. Preparation of written or audio-visual materials; revising and maintaining course-related material. Development of activities/approaches/workshops focused on teaching writing to first-year undergraduate students.
Serving as a writing skills tutor; leading discussions, workshops, activities to support the development of students’ writing skills.
Assessing students’ writing skills. Enhancing and supporting writing skills through teaching/workshops in or outside of class.
Assisting students with their writing and assignments through office hours with individual students, either electronically or in-person.
Conferring and working collaboratively with the faculty member/course instructor to determine activities suitable to the course and learning needs of the students.
