About the Role
Job Summary:
The Senior Academic Advisor primary reporting line is to the Campus Director (Metro or Florham) of the Center for Academic Advising and Student Success ( CAASS ); in the absence of the Director (e.g., vacation or illness), the secondary reporting line is to the Campus Assistant Director of CAASS . The primary responsibilities of this position are to assist with mentoring and training new Academic Advisors, assist in the development and implementation of advising initiatives, serve as CRM Advise “super users” for other advisors, and assist in the analysis of data to improve CAASS processes and student outcomes. Senior Academic Advisor also engages in all student advisement services for undergraduates, particularly complex student populations (e.g., international students, transfer students). Works closely with the academic programs (deans, chairs, faculty) to maximize support and retention of advisees.
