1464 - Donor Attendant Tuam Purpose of Role The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) operates nurse-led collection clinics, managed by a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM). The role of the Donor Attendant (DA) on the Tuam Mobile Team is to participate as part of the collection team to support the IBTS strategic priorities with regard to achieving operational excellence, improving customer (donor) experience and supporting better healthcare, ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements. The DA will provide care to donors before, during and after the donation process, under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) / Registered Nurse (RN). The DA is expected to participate in all aspects of the IBTS multi-disciplinary, cross functional approach to service delivery and to work within the IBTS Quality System and Code of Conduct at all times.
