AECOM is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Technician for employment in Macon, GA (a project office) for a 32 hours per week position. In this role, you will primarily work with Project Managers and Senior Technicians to operate a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at a railroad site (approximately 3 days per week in Macon, GA) as well as support other remedial system operations maintenance and monitoring projects at client facilities in and around Macon. The candidate will ideally have experience in general construction and environmental remediation/sampling. Hands-on mechanical experience and interests are necessary and should be noted in your resume. The WWTP work includes operating oil removal components that include an API separator and diffused air floatation system as well as system monitoring, routine preventative maintenance, and sampling. Other project work will include operation of groundwater treatment systems, soil remediation (in situ and ex situ), construction of support buildings/facilities, groundwater sampling, and soil sampling.
